On COVID Vaccines

Many people who question the intention

may realize something I fail to see

and maybe what they fail to see

is that I refuse or do not wish

to live in a world

where the rich and powerful

humans like you and I

can single handedly wipe swathes of us

in an effort to “control population”

instead of being better and doing better.

Reducing greed and pursuing ideals

elevated by hope.

What sort of world is that?

One in which I am not

fond of, interested in,

and feel hopeless for.

Please, I beg you.

Sun and stars

life and beautiful strangers

let it not be so.

I have a dream, he said

and so, inspires me through the ages:

That the day will come when

such hate and distrust among

sons of women

daughters of men

ceases to exist

and Utopia flourishes.
