Alive

The fluids within my tubes

Flow with friction

Pulsating, throbbing

It feels great to be alive.

At the middle of my chest,

a little to the left

My heart beats non-stop

For me

It does not quit nor falter

Rising to every challenge

Taking pleasure in its strength

How great it is to be alive.

Switching between positions of vertical and horizontal alignment

Surrounding air flows, a river of life into my lungs

Bringing with it the spices of life

And my most exterior physical sense (skin)

Gets gently kisses by the wind

Experiencing this moment and I think,

How great it is to be alive.
